About
Hi, I'm Paul. Welcome to Freedom Blogger.
I'm genuinely pleased you're here. If you've found your way to this page, there's a good chance you're looking for something more: more control over your money, a career that excites you again, a side hustle, or just a bit more flexibility in how you spend your time.
More Money. More Time. More Choice.
That's not just a tagline. It's a reminder that freedom is rarely found overnight. It's built through small choices, repeated often enough that they start to add up.
Why I Started Freedom Blogger
By day, I work in recruitment. It's a job that's given me a front-row seat to how people actually change their working lives, and it's taught me something I didn't expect: big change almost never starts with a big moment. It starts with someone finally sending the application they'd been putting off, having the conversation they'd been avoiding, or deciding to learn one new skill.
I started this blog because I wanted to write about that process honestly, without the hype that so much "financial freedom" content is dressed up in.
A Little About Me
I'm a husband first. My wife and I share a home (and most of our biscuits) with our rescue dog, Mavis, who's better than either of us at knowing when it's time to stop working and go for a walk. A lot of the ideas on this blog have turned up on those walks.

Alongside recruitment, I've spent several years building a second income as an independent Utility Warehouse Partner. It's given me first-hand experience of what it actually takes to build something on the side while working full time: the slow start, the awkward early conversations, the bits that didn't work before the bits that did. I've written about that properly on my Second Income Journey page, if you want the unfiltered version.
And then there's the blogging itself, which has quietly become its own thing. I'm not a professional writer by trade. I'm someone who kept notebooks full of half-formed ideas for years before finally deciding to publish them. Freedom Blogger is that decision, made public.
What Freedom Means To Me
Freedom looks different depending on who you ask. For some readers it's less financial stress. For others it's more time with their kids, or the option to work from somewhere other than a desk. I don't think freedom means escaping your life. I think it means having more choice within it.
What You'll Find Here
Practical, judgement-free writing across six areas: Career Advice, Financial Freedom, Time Freedom, Location Freedom, Side Hustles, and updates on the blog itself. No shortcuts, no overnight success stories, just ideas you can actually use.
My Mission
To help ordinary people create more money, more time and more choice, through small actions that compound over time. Every article here is written for progress, not perfection.
💡 "Freedom isn't built in a single moment. It's created through the choices you make today, the habits you repeat tomorrow, and the belief that small, consistent actions really do lead to extraordinary places."
New articles are published every Sunday at 7pm UK time. Subscribe for free and have each one land straight in your inbox.
