Welcome to Freedom Blogger: Because Life Should Feel Bigger Than Work, Bills and Weekends
If you've ever wondered where all the money goes, or felt stuck in a job that pays the bills but doesn't excite you, you're not alone. Here's why I started Freedom Blogger, and what I hope it can do for you.
If you've found your way here, there's a good chance you're looking for something.
Maybe you're feeling stretched financially. Maybe you're working hard but still wondering where all the money goes. Maybe you're stuck in a job that pays the bills but doesn't excite you. Or maybe you're just tired of life feeling like one long cycle of work, responsibilities and waiting for the weekend.
If any of that sounds familiar, you're not alone. This website exists because I kept hearing exactly those conversations everywhere I went: at work, in pubs, standing in queues, talking to friends and family, scrolling through social media. Different people, same worries: stress, money, no time, and a quiet feeling that there should be more to life than just getting through the week.
And yet there was so much noise. Everyone had an opinion. Everyone had a solution. Everyone was selling something.
The more I listened, the more I kept coming back to one simple question:
Where can ordinary people go for straightforward advice that actually helps?
That question became Freedom Blogger.
What Freedom Means to Me
When people hear the word "freedom," they usually think wealth, luxury or early retirement. For me it's much simpler. Freedom means:
- More choices
- Less stress
- Being able to say yes more often, to opportunities, experiences, and helping people you care about
Freedom doesn't mean giving up work, becoming a millionaire, or moving abroad. Sometimes it just means having enough breathing space to enjoy your life a little more. That's the freedom this website is about.
Why I Started This Journey
I work in recruitment, so I spend most of my days talking to people about careers, work and life: job hunters, people who feel trapped where they are, people chasing more money, more balance, or just a fresh start.
Over the years I've noticed something: most people aren't actually chasing success. They're chasing options. The option to work less, save more, spend time with family, pursue a passion, or simply stop worrying quite so much.
That resonated with me, because I've been there too. Setbacks, financial pressure, my fair share of anxiety and self-doubt. I've spent years reading, learning from mentors, testing ideas, and trying side hustles, all in search of a life that felt more balanced.
I'm still learning. I'm still on the journey. But the difference today is that I smile more, and I actually look forward to Mondays. I believe a lot of what I've picked up along the way could help you too.

A Small Step Forward
If there's one thing I've learned, it's that big life changes rarely happen overnight. They happen through small decisions made consistently: a better habit here, a new skill there, a different conversation, a decision to try something new. Small steps, added up, eventually become big changes.
My hope is that Freedom Blogger becomes a place that helps you take a few of those steps, not perfectly, not all at once, just one at a time.
A small step you could take right now: have a look through Why Saving Money Feels Harder Than Ever, one of the most popular posts so far and a good example of what you'll find here. Or if you'd rather have new articles land in your inbox, you can subscribe free below.
